Inmates of Earth

It is my privilege to worship with the inmates in local jail...God has richly blessed our meetings, and the men and women are trying to "be the body of Christ" right where they are by having daily prayer, Bible study, and fellowship on their pods. Like non-inmates - they have issues...but their faith is real and Jesus shines through them more often than not in our services.

To those of you thinking about taking Jesus to jails, prisons, recovery population, homeless, nursing homes, etc...

DO IT! Jesus will fill in if you just relax in Him...He longs to tell the broken that He loves them and can save: can help.

It isn't that we are so great going in there to help those poor, rotten inmates.

It is that we are all in this together. Loving others is why we are here. And to learn.

Learn to love.

As I am working on writing short stories, poems, and novels since retiring in July 2021...I have also been able to help an inmate format his devotions into a book we are trying to get published. He received Christ in his cell, joined our Thursday night worship, and was discipled in an amazing way by the Holy Spirit.

Another female inmate recently asked me to read, edit her memoir.

I realized this week that if my books and stories never really get published...the passion for words He has given me might be there to get others works published.

Whatever causes people to look up and see Jesus!

Hope your Sunday is full of wonder, peace, and joy.

This is a day that the Lord has made...I WILL rejoice and be glad in it.
